"Bachmann Trains 2-8-4 Berkshire Pere Marquette 1225" Overview
In February 1925, a new 2-8-4 steam engine design from the Lima locomotive works completed a series of successful trials on the Boston & Albany in the Berkshire Hills of western Massachusetts. The B&A subsequently ordered 55 of these new locomotives and the 2-8-4 became known as a Berkshire. This model of the 2-8-4 Berkshire is decorated as Pere Marquette 1225.
